Welcome to the June  2025 TranscenDance™ Tribune

As the sun reaches its zenith and the days stretch long with light, June invites us to remember the brilliance that lives within. This month’s TranscenDance™ Tribune is a celebration of that inner radiance, of reclaiming joy, movement, and the sacred power of self-expression.

In this issue, we spotlight the luminous journey of Cindy McCann, a woman who turned personal transformation into purpose and now guides others as a TranscenDance™ Facilitator. You’ll also find soul-nourishing insights on aligning with the energy of the summer solstice, a powerful time to ignite creativity, expansion, and spiritual vitality.

Lit From Within

Spotlighting Facilitator Cindy McCann

For Cindy McCann, radiance wasn’t something she found overnight. It was something she reclaimed, step by step, breath by breath, beat by beat.

Her journey began quietly, during the collective stillness of the pandemic. Seeking light in the darkness, Cindy dove into personal development work and discovered Mary Morrissey, whose message stirred something deep within her. “I joined one of her courses and got free tickets to DreamBuilder Live,” she recalls. “By the end of that weekend, I’d enrolled in the coaching program, not knowing where it would lead, just knowing I had to follow it.”

But while her spiritual world was beginning to expand, her physical world was shrinking. Chronic knee pain left her struggling to walk, and the toll it took went beyond the body. “I got disconnected from my femininity,” she says. “I didn’t feel pretty. I didn’t feel energetic. A lot of things were slipping out of me besides my mobility.”

Cindy’s turning point came during a breakout session at an event where Jennifer Joy Jimenez was speaking. “I remember watching Jennifer and felt so drawn to her presence.”, Cindy recalls.

Something about the way Jennifer spoke and held space stirred something deep in Cindy. After that session, she went straight to the website and what she found immediately captured her attention. “It was like my name was written into everything I read,” she says. “The questions were speaking directly to me: Are you feeling disconnected from your femininity? Do you long for more? I just kept thinking, Yes. Yes. Yes.”

It felt like a direct invitation into something sacred. And though she didn’t yet know how it would all unfold, Cindy said yes. She signed up for The Journey to Vitality Transformational Retreat and the Vibrant Healthy Woman program with no clear plan, only a clear knowing: This is for me.

Surgery became a necessity, but it also marked the beginning of a profound shift in her life. Before her surgery, Cindy crafted a vision for her healing, one filled with peace, strength, and grace. “Jennifer gave me a blessing over the phone,” Cindy says. “I was sitting at a red light, and I felt it, a warm energy wrapped around me like a blanket. I knew then I was not alone in this.”

The surgery went beautifully. Her recovery stunned even her surgeon. But the real transformation went beyond just the physical. It was a reawakening.

Encouraged by Jennifer and the TranscenDance™ community, Cindy began to dance again, not just as exercise, but as divine expression. “I hadn’t danced since my 30s,” she says. “But at the Journey to Vitality Transformational Retreat, I stood up and said, ‘I want to learn to shimmy.’ And that simple, funny moment cracked something open.” What began as a playful impulse soon deepened into a path of embodiment and purpose, ultimately opening the way for her to become a TranscenDance™ facilitator herself.

With each movement, she began rediscovering the parts of herself she had long tucked away. “Instead of romancing a man, I fell in love with myself,” she shares. “I started lighting candles, dancing in my living room at night. It was healing. It was joy. I started to feel beautiful again, sensual, feminine, alive.”

The change touched something deeper than emotion; it stirred her spirit. “It wasn’t simply about moving my body,” she says. “It felt like spirit was moving through me, that’s how I connect to the infinite within.”

Through the Vibrant Healthy Woman program, Cindy began doing the deep inner work that allowed her to peel back the layers of old beliefs and emotional wounds. What once felt like shame, silence, and disconnection slowly transformed into self-forgiveness and a profound sense of wholeness. She reflected on formative moments from her past, patterns she once clung to for protection and gently released them. “I carried the weight of trying to do it all on my own,” she says. “But now, I feel open. I feel more possible. I’ve forgiven myself, and that changes everything.”

Today, Cindy’s vision extends beyond her own healing. A long-time educator and Life Mastery Consultant, she dreams of integrating TranscenDance™ into work with families of children with autism. “There’s so much grief that comes with a diagnosis,” she says. “Parents are overwhelmed, burnt out. I want to give them something that heals them too.”

Her hope is to study the effects of dance on neuro-diverse children. How it might reduce inflammation, improve brain function, and most of all, bring joy. “I really think there’s something there,” she says. “When kids find something they love and invite you into their world, that’s where the magic happens.”

Cindy’s life has become an embodiment of the very thing she teaches: that even in the most unexpected places, like in a hospital bed or on a dance floor in the living room lit by candles, we can uncover something radiant within us.

“It’s a kindness,” she says, “to let yourself be seen. Not just for how well you dance, but for the light you let shine while doing it.”

Radiance Rising

5 Ways to Awaken the Light Within

Radiance begins from within—quietly at first, like the flicker of a candle—until it becomes an undeniable glow that colors everything you do. It’s not about appearances; it’s about presence. When we live in alignment with our joy, truth, and vitality, we naturally emit the kind of light that uplifts not only ourselves but also everyone we encounter.

Whether you’re stepping onto the dance floor, into your creative flow, or into a moment of stillness, your light is medicine—for you and for the world.

Here are five ways to ignite that radiant energy from the inside out:

  1. Move Like No One’s Watching (Because Your Soul Is Always Witnessing)
    Dance isn’t just an art form; it’s a ritual. Let your body move in ways that feel nourishing rather than performative. Whether it’s five minutes of intuitive movement in your living room or a complete soul-expanding TranscenDance™ class, trust the intelligence of your body. The more you move in tune with your inner rhythm, the more you glow with authenticity.
    Try this: Close your eyes, play a song that makes you feel alive, and let your body respond without choreography. Notice what emotions arise. Let them move through you.
  2. Dress in Alignment With Your Spirit
    Your clothing is your second skin and a sacred extension of your self-expression. When you wear what feels true, your aura expands. Radiance flows more easily when you shed the “shoulds” and adorn yourself in colors, fabrics, and textures that reflect your essence.
    Radiant tip: Choose one piece from your wardrobe that makes you feel bold and free. Wear it on a regular day, not just a special occasion. Every moment is worthy of your full expression.
  3. Speak Words That Light You Up
    What you say and how you say it can either dim your light or fan your flame. Practice speaking from the heart, not just out of habit. Whether you’re sharing gratitude, expressing boundaries, or offering love, speak in a way that feels like you’re tending to your own fire.
    Practice: Each morning, say one thing to yourself aloud that affirms your worth. “I am enough as I am,” is a powerful place to start.
  4. Reclaim Joy as a Revolutionary Act
    Joy is not frivolous. It’s fuel. It’s a radical reclaiming of your right to feel good in a world that often thrives on stress and scarcity. Prioritize joy as if your radiance depends on it because it does.
    Joy practice: Make a “Radiance List” of five activities that make you lose track of time. Schedule at least one of them into your week with the same commitment you’d give a meeting or deadline.
  5. Connect to Something Greater
    True radiance is not just personal, it’s spiritual. When we remember that we are part of something vast and beautiful—nature, the cosmos, the collective heartbeat of humanity—we shine from a deeper place. Take time to attune to that greater rhythm.
    Reflection: Spend five minutes under the night sky. Feel your feet on the earth. Breathe in your connection to it all. You are not alone, and your light matters.

Your radiance isn’t something you need to earn, manufacture, or chase. It’s already within you, waiting to be remembered. Unleashing it is less about doing and more about being: being present, being real, being alive. And when you shine, you give others permission to do the same.

So go ahead, dance, dress, speak, laugh, and connect like your soul’s on fire. The world needs your light.

How to Celebrate the Summer Solstice

The Summer Solstice is the longest day of the year and a cosmic invitation to bask in the brilliance of light, life, and renewal. In 2025, the solstice occurs on Friday, June 20 at 7:42 PM PDT, marking the official start of astronomical summer in the Northern Hemisphere. As the sun reaches its peak, so too can we rise into our fullest expression. Whether you’re a seasoned sun-worshipper or a curious soul seeking new rhythms, the solstice is a potent moment to pause, honor, and radiate. 

Here are some vibrant, soulful ways to celebrate the Summer Solstice and align with the energy of this golden turning point:

  1. Rise With the Sun Welcome the solstice with a sunrise ritual. Wake up early, step outside, and greet the light with presence. Breathe deeply. Stretch. Dance barefoot in the grass. Let the rising sun mirror your own rising energy.
    Try this: Whisper a simple affirmation as the sun crests the horizon: “I welcome the light within and around me.”
  2. Dance Into Radiance The solstice is nature’s most vibrant “yes”—a perfect time to embody joy and aliveness through movement. Gather with friends for a Solstice dance circle, or create a solo ritual with music that lights you up from the inside.
    Pro tip: Choose songs that feel like sunlight and let your body move without agenda. Imagine your dance as a celebration of your own expansion.
  3. Create a Fire or Candle Ceremony
    Fire symbolizes transformation, illumination, and passion. Whether it’s a bonfire with community or a single candle in a sacred space, lighting a flame is a powerful solstice act.
    Ritual idea: Write down what you’re ready to release and what you want to call in. Offer it to the fire. Let the smoke carry your intentions.
  4. Feast With Intention
    The solstice has long been a time of celebration and abundance. Prepare a meal with fresh, seasonal foods, think berries, sun-ripened tomatoes, herbs, and golden fruits. Infuse your food with gratitude.
    Gathering tip: Invite loved ones to bring dishes and blessings. Share stories of what you’re each stepping into this season.
  5. Soak in the Sun—Literally
    Give your body the gift of solar energy. Spend time in nature, whether at the beach, on a hike, or simply lying under the sky. Feel the warmth on your skin and visualize it charging your cells with vitality.
    Reflection prompt: As you bask in the light, ask yourself, Where am I ready to shine more brightly?
  6. Set Solstice Intentions
    With the light at its peak, this is a potent time to plant seeds for the coming season. What dreams are ready to grow under the summer sun?
    Journal prompts:
    What am I ready to embody more fully?
    How can I honor my light while staying rooted in truth?
    What do I need to release to make space for radiance?
  7. Close the Day With Gratitude
    As the sun sets, honor the full arc of the day and your own journey. Whether in meditation, song, or quiet reflection, give thanks for the light, the growth, and the grace of this season.
    Evening ritual: Light a candle, breathe deeply, and say: “As the sun rests, so do I. Thank you for the light. May I carry it within.”

The Summer Solstice is not just a celestial event, it’s a mirror. It reminds us that light is not something we chase; it’s something we are. When we align with nature’s rhythms, we remember our own.

This solstice, celebrate wildly. Shine unapologetically. Dance like you are the sun. Because in many ways you are.
