Welcome to the August 2025 TranscenDance™ Tribune
This month, we celebrate the vibrant intelligence of the body and the profound energy that awakens when we move with intention and presence. August invites us to reconnect with the life force that lives within our breath, our bones, and our dance—and to remember that vitality isn’t something we chase, but something we cultivate from within.
In this issue of the TranscenDance™ Tribune, we spotlight the powerful journey of Harriet Lemberger-Schor, whose transformation through movement and coaching is a living testament to what becomes possible when we truly listen to and honor our bodies. You’ll also discover articles that explore the connection between movement and energy, as well as what it means to live from a place of embodied empowerment.
You’ll also discover ways to connect with the TranscenDance™ community through our TranscenDance™ Live Virtual Classes, which will be on Saturday, August 2nd @ 10 am Pacific and Saturday, August 30th @ 10 am Pacific.
The TranscenDance™ Tribune is dedicated to nurturing our conscious dance community and celebrating the healing power of the mind-body-spirit connection with a new issue every month. Back issues are also available online at https://bti.com/tribune
The Courage to Come Alive Again
Spotlighting Facilitator Harriet Lemberger-Schor
Harriet Lemberger-Schor has spent her life in service, first as a family physician since 1990, and now as a powerful example of embodied transformation. For decades, she poured herself into the care of others, while silently neglecting her own needs and worth. “I used to call myself fat, ugly, lazy, stupid,” she shares candidly. “If I wasn’t there to be useful for everybody else, what was the point of me being there?”
But something stirred within her, especially as waves of personal loss compounded. Between 2015 and 2023, Harriet endured the heartbreaking decline and passing of both parents and her husband of 34 years. Amid caregiving, grief, and mounting professional burnout, she hit a threshold. “There’s got to be a better life than this,” she remembers thinking. “Let’s start with vocation.”
That single thought catalyzed a profound journey of self-reclamation, beginning with a DreamBuilder™ coach certification in 2022, followed by her Life Mastery Consultant™ path during her husband’s illness, and a decision that would shift everything: to find joy in her body again.
Harriet’s first experience with TranscenDance™ came at a Brave Thinking Breakthrough event in 2024, where she met founder Jennifer Joy Jimenez. “It was a game changer,” she says. “There are very deep, profound healing properties in the movement, if people allow themselves to go there, mind, body, and spirit. It’s incredible.”
Despite having undergone total knee replacement surgery, Harriet didn’t miss a beat—literally. “Four days after surgery, I was up and dancing through Jennifer’s class—from a chair—and still got the full benefit,” she says. “I danced through pain, grief, and into transformation.” It was a major part of my full recovery protocol.
To Harriet, body vitality means “releasing the perception of physical pain” and learning to listen to the body as a messenger, not a burden. “TranscenDance™ connected my physical symptoms with emotional and energetic blocks. My knees, ankles, and shoulders were telling stories I hadn’t yet healed.” Through movement, affirmations, and the rituals of embodied practice, she found a way to write new ones.
One of Harriet’s most sacred healing moments unfolded high above the rainforest canopy in Costa Rica, during the TranscenDance™ transformational retreat. This immersive retreat offers participants the opportunity to embody the 10 Stages of TranscenDance™ as a living, spiritual curriculum—and one of its most powerful rites of passage is the “Superman” zipline challenge.
Suspended 400 feet in the air and racing at nearly 50 miles per hour, this is the longest zipline in all of South America—thrilling and terrifying in equal measure. But it’s more than just an adrenaline rush. It is a visceral initiation into the Dance of Surrender—an embodied practice of letting go, trusting Spirit, and flying full-heartedly toward your vision.
“Halfway down,” she shared, “I felt as though I was being lifted and held by my Higher Power. Then I looked down—and for just a moment, I saw my late husband’s face. It was as if he was there with me, reminding me I wasn’t alone.”
Chills washed over her body. In that sacred moment of flight, grief met grace. Her fear dissolved into faith.
When she reached the bottom, and ventured to the nearby butterfly sanctuary, a delicate butterfly touched down on her shoe. Harriet smiled, tears in her eyes.
“It felt like he took me by the hand and said, ‘You’re going to be fine.’”
Since then, Harriet has stepped boldly into her role as a trained and authorized TranscenDance™ facilitator, now teaching classes both online and in person, with plans to expand her reach. “I envision offering multiple classes a month, two or three in person, and leading online experiences,” she says. “I want to incorporate TranscenDance™ into speaking engagements, not just as a message, but as an experience, as a way to move energy and reconnect people to their bodies in real time.”
She also dreams of offering Aqua TranscenDance™ and already has a calendar mapped out with her goals and events. After testing the waters with free online classes, she’s now ready to fully launch her offerings as part of her vocational vision. “I finally made the decision vocationally about what it is I really want to do, be, and have, and TranscenDance™ is at the center of that.”
One powerful reminder of the work’s impact came from a participant who arrived at class in physical and emotional distress. “She told me she wasn’t going to come. Her back, neck, and shoulders were hurting and she’d just received some deeply upsetting news,” Harriet recalls. “By the end of the class, she said she felt 80% better. I think about it now; her root and heart chakras were disrupted. And through movement, she found release.”
Harriet has also discovered a new, soul-nourishing love—one that pours into her in ways she never imagined possible.
But it wasn’t always this way.
When Harriet and I first began working together, romance was the last thing on her mind. She wasn’t thinking about rekindling love or awakening her sensuality. Her heart was still guarded, her confidence dimmed, and her self-image clouded by years of disconnection.
Through our work together—healing her relationship with her body, embracing her feminine vitality, and reclaiming her inner radiance—Harriet began to shift. She fell in love with herself first. Her confidence bloomed. Her energy felt younger, freer, and more alive. She started dancing through life with renewed passion.
And as her inner world transformed, so did her outer reality.
She attracted an incredible relationship into her life—one that reflects the love she cultivated within.
“It’s the first time I’ve had a relationship like this,” she smiles. “It’s all part of this new vitality—this choice to love my body, my mind, my heart, and my spirit.”
Harriet’s journey is a powerful testament to what becomes possible when a woman chooses herself first—and dances her way into the life and love she truly deserves.
Harriet continues to show up—for herself, for her students, and for those just beginning to hear the whispers of their own healing. But her journey has not been without deep sorrow—and breathtaking courage.
Before her husband fell ill, they had been working on a ballroom dance routine together. It was a dream they shared, a playful yet profound way of connecting—moving in harmony, step by step, heart to heart. They had envisioned performing it together, a celebration of their partnership through the language of movement.
But life had a different plan.
When her husband became ill, their shared rehearsals were replaced by hospital visits and tender caregiving. Harriet stood by his side every step of the way, offering love, strength, and presence until his final breath. The dance they had begun was left incomplete—but not forgotten.
In the months that followed his passing, Harriet grieved deeply. Yet within her sorrow, a quiet knowing began to rise: the dance wasn’t over. It had simply transformed into something else—a sacred tribute, a bridge between love and legacy.
“I finished the ballroom dance routine my husband never got to perform,” Harriet shares. “I danced his part with his instructor. I did it for him. I did it for me.”
She also paid a huge tribute to her late husband at her daughter’s wedding, in place of the traditional father-daughter dance. She danced in his place in a mother-daughter dance—full of grace, remembrance, and unspoken devotion. There wasn’t a dry eye in the room.
In that moment, Harriet wasn’t just dancing. She was healing. She was honoring the love that had shaped her—and stepping boldly into the next chapter of her own life.
“Body vitality,” Harriet says, “is the moment you stop running from your pain and start dancing with your power.”

Body Vitality: Move, breathe, and dance into your most vibrant self
Your body is a living, breathing instrument of vitality. It holds your stories, your strength, your joy, and your wisdom. In a culture that often encourages us to push through or tune out, cultivating body vitality is a sacred act of self-honoring. It’s about coming home to yourself, feeling alive, connected, and in flow.
Body vitality isn’t about being at peak performance or striving for a certain look. It’s about how alive you feel. It’s the spark in your step, the warmth in your heart, the energy that moves through your limbs when you dance, stretch, breathe, or simply listen to what your body needs in the moment.
So how do we nourish this vitality—especially when life feels busy, heavy, or overwhelming?
Here are a few simple yet powerful ways to invite more vitality into your body each day:
- Start your morning with movement. Before the day takes hold, take five minutes to stretch, sway, or flow. Wake up your spine. Open your chest. Breathe deeply. This sets the tone for energy to move freely throughout your day.
- Dance your emotions. Feeling stuck, tired, or anxious? Turn on music that matches your mood and let your body lead. Move without needing to look “right”, just express. TranscenDance™ offers a beautiful space to do this in community, where every movement is welcome and every emotion has space.
- Get outside and ground yourself. Nature is a natural recharger. Walk barefoot on the grass. Let the sun kiss your skin. Inhale the scent of trees or flowers. Even a short outdoor pause can replenish your life force.
- Hydrate and nourish yourself with intention. Vitality starts from the inside. Drink water. Eat foods that feel vibrant and colorful. Notice how certain foods energize or drain you. Your body is always speaking.
- Tune in and slow down. Rest is a vital part of body vitality. Take time for restorative practices such as gentle yoga, breathwork, or a simple body scan. These create space for the body to reset and for energy to naturally return.
- Celebrate your body as it is. Instead of pushing it to be different, begin to thank it for breathing, for dancing, for showing up every day. Vitality grows when love flows.
- Through the practice of TranscenDance™, we remember who we are. We remember the power we hold in our hips, our hearts, our hands. We remember that vitality is not something we earn, it’s something we ignite. And when we move in community, that spark becomes a flame.
Take a moment today. Stretch. Breathe. Dance. Nourish. Rest. Your body is ready and your vitality is waiting.
Embodying Empowerment: Moving Through Change with Grace and Strength
Empowerment isn’t just a mindset—it’s something we live, breathe, and feel in our bodies. It’s the grounded presence in your feet when you choose yourself. It’s the steadiness in your breath when you speak your truth. It’s the freedom in your spine when you move through the world with intention, clarity, and trust.
To embody empowerment means to allow it to live in your cells, not just in your thoughts. It’s not about being loud or forceful. True empowerment can be bold or quiet, fierce or fluid. It lives in authenticity. It rises when we move from within, when we listen deeply to our bodies, and when we allow our movement to reflect our truth.
We are constantly moving through seasons of change—some chosen, others unexpected. In these times, we often look outward for answers. But when we return to the body, we reconnect to an inner compass that is wise, grounded, and resilient. Through dance, breathwork, and somatic awareness, we remember our strength is not something we need to find, it’s something we already carry.
Empowerment through embodiment invites us to:
- Move with intention, releasing what no longer serves.
- Stand in our center, rooted in self-trust and clarity.
- Breathe deeply, especially in moments of discomfort or transition.
- Express freely, using movement as a tool for reclaiming voice and space.
- Rest unapologetically, knowing that softness is also a form of strength.
There is no one way to embody empowerment. For some, it looks like dancing barefoot in the living room. For others, it’s placing a hand over the heart and saying “I am enough.” It might mean setting a boundary, starting a new chapter, or simply showing up—authentically, fully, and with presence.
When the noise of doing drowns out the voice of being, movement brings us back to ourselves. It’s a practice of sovereignty. Of grace. Of inner power expressed through breath, movement, and presence.
So today, ask yourself: What does empowerment feel like in my body?
Then listen. Move. And let your body lead you back to your power.
