Let’s dive into the 7 most common reasons your coaching business might not be working and what you can do to turn things around, fast!

1. Your System of Transformation Isn’t Creating Results

Many coaches end up struggling because their coaching model isn’t delivering the outcomes clients are looking for. 

Remember: people get coaching for results. If your clients aren’t experiencing meaningful transformation, they won’t stay long, and they certainly won’t refer their friends and family to you.

Solution: Focus on following a system that ensures your clients achieve the results they desire. This means using proven coaching principles and tools that facilitate real change.

2. You’re Relying On Directive Coaching

Are you finding yourself telling your clients what to do rather than guiding them to discover their own path? 

This approach to coaching is known as directive coaching, and it often fails to empower clients to create lasting change.

Solution: Shift to an approach that allows clients to explore their own beliefs and behaviors: evocative coaching.

Evocative coaching supports clients in following their inner guidance through calibrated questions.

These series of questions help expand your client’s mindset, unlock their inner wisdom, and imagine possibilities outside their current circumstances, situations, or conditions.

Clients are empowered to come up with their own solutions and their own vision of success – which ultimately leads to a higher success rate and more dreams becoming a reality!

3. Your Business Doesn’t Have an “Economic Engine”

Are you charging enough for your services? Do you know how to attract a steady stream of clients?

Most coaches focus on their coaching skills when first stepping into their vocation… 

And forget to put the “business” in the coaching business.

6. You Don’t Have Partners in Believing

Building a coaching business can sometimes feel lonely, especially when you can’t tell what’s working from what’s not. 

Without a support system or a community to share your journey with, you might find yourself doubting your abilities, or caught up in the traps of perfectionism and procrastination.

Solution: Connect with like-minded people who can support and uplift you. Join communities, networking groups, or online forums where you can share experiences and learn from others.
