Sigmund Freud laid the foundations of psychology as we know it, even though he reportedly smoked 20 cigars and drank regularly.

Now, I’m not suggesting that you should adopt any of these habits. Or that they contributed to the successes listed above.
Why do we beat ourselves up for not cold plunging, or for skipping one entry in our journal…

Recognize opportunities from past experiences. And somehow know exactly what worked before in similar situations. But here's what's truly extraordinary: they also seem to remember the future. This is your memory operating at full capacity––not simply as a storage system (like it is for most people) but a time machine that lets you access wisdom from your past as well as insights from your inevitable future success.
